Supervised and selected by Toru Hashimoto (SUBURBIA), this compilation features 12 wonderful artists covering masterpieces from the neo-acoustic era, themed around "the happiness of an afternoon coffee," and is set for CD release on Wednesday, November 18, 2026! It includes superb covers of songs by Aztec Camera, The Pale Fountains, Everything But The Girl, Ben Watt, The Style Council, The Smiths, Fairground Attraction, XTC, and more!

Produced, supervised, and curated by Toru Hashimoto (SUBURBIA)—known for popular series such as "Free Soul," "Cafe Apres-midi," "Mellow Beats," "Good Mellows," "Jazz Supreme," "Music Scenery," "Incense Music," and "Chillout Breeze"—and featuring an supreme collaboration with artwork by FJD and mastering by Calm, comes the neo-acoustic cover compilation "Neo-Acoustic for Café Après-midi," themed around "the happiness of an afternoon coffee." Pre-release digital singles, CD & digital albums, 7-inch singles, and LPs will be released in succession from October to December 2026!
For this work, 12 incredible artists have recorded new covers of neo-acoustic masterpieces selected by Toru Hashimoto, guided by an exquisite direction centered on "the happiness of an afternoon coffee." Ranging from veterans to the new generation, we present a collection of preeminent masterpieces interpreted through each artist's unique perspective.

With a wonderful design by Jiro Fujita (FJD) that acts as an homage to the indie/DIY aesthetic of 80s neo-acoustic works, and delicate sound treatment with a focus on the sonic landscape by mastering engineer Calm, an exquisite, top-tier, and current neo-acoustic compilation has been completed.
