[CD] HONEY meets ISLAND CAFE Sea of ​​Love 8 –Collaboration with SHONAN by the Sea-

The 33rd installment of "HONEY meets ISLAND CAFE," a monumental surf music compilation supervised by HONEY, is the 8th installment of the popular series "Sea of ​​Love," which brings together music by Japanese artists that evoke the ocean! This is the latest installment of the Sea of ​​Love series that began in 2016, and this time all the songs by 17 artists are new recordings!
The genre-less lineup, which has been brought together under the keyword "sea," includes artists who represent the current trend of city pop, newcomers who are the talk of the town for the subscription generation, charismatic singers who have been active since the 90s, club DJs, and artists who continue to be loved by the surf scene. All of the artists are participating with new recordings that "feel the sea" for this occasion!
This time, a collaboration with FM Yokohama's popular program "SHONAN by the Sea" has been realized! Of course, it also includes works by artists who have a close relationship with the program's DJ, Fumika Hideshima. Music that evokes Shonan, the sea, and summer will be introduced on the program from May through the summer. The CD also includes an album intro with Fumika Hideshima calling out the title.
Furthermore, the jacket was created by a collaboration between Shonan/Kamakura-based photographer Yasuma Miura's surf photos and Masato Maekawa (tAnkers Inc.), who works on a wide range of apparel lookbooks and illustrations. Not only the album, but all the jackets for the singles are made up of Shonan photos!
