He joined Studio Ghibli in 2006 and is currently working as a freelancer. He has been responsible for the background art of Studio Ghibli films such as "Tales from Earthsea," "Ponyo," "The Secret World of Arrietty," "The Wind Rises," and "When Marnie Was There." In addition to Ghibli films, he has also been responsible for the background art of some of Japan's most representative anime films, including "Summer Wars" directed by Mamoru Hosoda. This time, with the cooperation of Studio Ghibli, he readily agreed to draw an original illustration. With the shisa, a symbol of Okinawa, sugarcane fields that look as if they are about to sway in the wind, and a shallow sea where you can almost hear the sound of crashing waves, he has created a soothing illustration that reminds you of a scene from a Ghibli film.

The amorphous musical unit "Super Natural" presents soothing performances in the "RELAXY" series. Their Okinawan music sanshin solo work "Sanshin Island" is also on sale and has been very well received.

■DJ SASA
While working as a DJ for island music from Okinawa, Hawaii, etc., he also produces island-themed works. The quality and quantity of his Okinawan music productions are outstanding, and he has produced many hit series such as "Ghiblinchu" and "Ryukyu Driving". He also serves as a tourism ambassador for Tokashiki Island, and in 2018 he celebrated his 15th anniversary of producing Okinawan music works.

His works are also popular among tourists visiting Okinawa as souvenir CDs.

■ Ryuta Shiroma
Born in Higashi Village, Okinawa Prefecture in 1988. He has been interested in Okinawan music since he was a child, and at the age of 5, he learned the sanshin from his mother. While attending Haebaru High School, he also taught himself how to play Ryukyu instruments such as the Ryukyu flute, kokyu, and shima taiko drums. With the motto of "passing on Okinawan culture to the next generation," he performs live by adding his own band arrangements to Okinawan shima uta (traditional Okinawan folk songs), and is a sanshin artist rooted in Okinawa, performing more than 120 times a year.
