[CD] Cafe Apremidi Meets Studio Ghibli

⚪︎ "Cafe Après-midi Meets Studio Ghibli" is a compilation of newly recorded cover versions of famous Studio Ghibli film songs, supervised and selected by Toru Hashimoto (SUBURBIA), who has worked on many popular compilations such as "Free Soul," "Cafe Après-midi," "Mellow Beats," "Good Mellows," "Jazz Supreme," "Music with a View," "Incense Music," and "Chillout Breeze." The artwork is by FJD and mastering by Calm, a supreme collaboration. A pre-release single, CD & digital album, 7-inch singles, and an LP are scheduled to be released sequentially from spring to summer 2026!

⚪︎ For this work, 12 artists with strong ties to Café Après-midi in Shibuya have recorded new cover versions of famous Ghibli film songs selected by Toru Hashimoto, with exquisite direction centered on the theme of "the happiness of an afternoon coffee." Among the many Ghibli cover collections produced to date, this is a special collection of masterpieces boasting some of the highest quality.

⚪︎ The album (CD/LP) and six 7-inch singles, totaling seven works, feature wonderfully impressive jacket designs by FJD, utilizing illustrations by a painter & animator who worked on Ghibli films, depicting the scene of Café Après-midi in a gradation from 1 PM to 7 PM. The mastering by Calm, with itsこだわり (attention to detail) to the soundscape, is also excellent, completing a superb official Café Après-midi × Studio Ghibli compilation.
